Get Your Chanukah Dose of Theater, Art, and Dance

Every holiday season, the Israel Museum features a Chanukah lineup for adults and children alike. This includes special exhibits and performances during the eight days of Chanukah. Entrance to the museum is free for children under 17 years of age throughout the holiday. There is a charge for specific activities and shows. Among the performances showing this Chanukah is a collection of excerpts from The Aluminum Show.
The international avant-garde production is highly recommended and widely popular. Dancers and performers tell the story of a man who finds himself in a futuristic world. This bizarre parallel universe is made up completely of aluminum. The man's journey is portrayed using humor and a wide variety of talents. Part musical, part puppet-show, the performance was created by the best in their field. The creators have won international success for their previous shows, and the choregrapher is one of the best in Israel.

Here are some reviews

A TripAdvisor contributor wrote, "The show is quite unique. I don't want to give too much away, but I guarantee you have never seen anything quite like it.... The show is high-energy, talented dancers, neat effects, some humor, very creative costumes and props. I think it was well worth the ticket price."
A reviewer on the Creative Loafing website said the performance has been "compared to other popular shows like Mummenschanz, Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil. The Aluminum Show certainly makes you take another look at everyday, inanimate objects, - like aluminum foil - as it brings them to life in this hypnotic performance." Alice Gage posted on The Aluminum Show Facebook page saying, "This was the best show I've seen in a long time, if you get a chance to see it GO." Be sure to book tickets early!
