“Think That Your Smartphone Can do It All?Think Again”

wifi

Let’s face it, access to Wi-Fi is like coffee in the morning for many. It’s a must-have, even when traveling internationally. But have you ever considered using a mobile hotspot? As we all know, WIFI, is a necessity. It simply is; in a world where everyone has a smartphone, connectivity has never been more important than it is now. Even so, you don’t always have access to a router and when there is, you never know who else is using the same connection. While smartphones are getting better at handling some of the tasks that were meant for several devices in the past, the truth is, there are a few things to consider, especially if choosing to use your mobile phone instead of carrying around a separate mobile hotspot.

Read on to learn more about the convenience of staying connected with Internet while in Israel.

Mobile Hotspot

“Benefits”

There are countless benefits to having access to the Internet on the go. Users are able to stay connected so they never miss an important conversation, a favorite TV show or that “had to see it to believe it” sports moment. Internet on the go makes it easier than ever to stream live TV, movies and TV shows as well as video chat with friends, play online games, send emails, post photos and more.

Imagine, you’re traveling around Israel over the Chaggim, and you have access to your tablet; your children are sitting nicely in the backseat and aren’t complaining, are we there yet.  By using Wi-Fi  hotspots, and 3G or 4G connections, individuals can connect to the Internet from almost anywhere.

WIFI All The Time

“To connect your family and friends all at once”

When traveling in large groups, someone is usually left without an internet connection. Be the person to offer connectivity to the whole group with only one SIM card and Wifi mobile hotspot. You might already do so with your smartphone, but the connection is surely short-lived. Using your smartphone to offer connectivity through a USB wire or Bluetooth tethering is the fastest way to drain out your battery.  Therefore, a mobile hotspot is a great solution for keeping your battery charged, sharing internet connection with your family and friends and additionally, saving on data with shareable data bundles.

Keep Connected

“To use the internet while on vacation”

If you’re a fortunate owner of a vacation home or a frequent traveler to Israel, you’ve probably had to engage in a yearly internet contract. Paying full price for usage during a short period of time  isn’t cost effective. While a prepaid mobile hotspot is an easier, more affordable, alternative solution to providing internet connection for everyone during the trip. Also many phones come “locked” to a certain network and when you are traveling to Israel, roaming outside of your “carrier” network will leave you with a lovely surprise when you return home. So, if you want to avoid spending a small fortune, it is highly recommended to purchase a local SIM card and use it with a mobile hotspot.

SIM Always

“So You Think You Can Tether”

Many people assume why bother to spend the additional expense on a mobile hotspot when you can just tether your phone, think again. If you tether you most likely will be unable to receive calls. Picture this, you’re trying to write a really important e-mail while you’re in Israel and you see your phone is ringing but …wait for it…you can’t answer it because if you do, be prepared to say goodbye to your network. Remember, not all smartphones are created equally and can support voice and data at the same time!

Why Not To Tether

“Drawbacks To Tethering”

Another thing to keep in mind, when it comes to tethering you may be unable to connect multiple devices to your phone’s hotspot. Usually adding more than one or two devices to the network that you create on your phone will impair the performance of your network, while, a mobile hotspot can support unlimited devices simultaneously.

Too many devices

Using a hotspot can get you out from under that. Think about it, you’re in Israel, doing a ton of traveling (which is a must) you may or may not have service; so how can you avoid all of that unnecessary worry during a time when you should be having a great time. This is why investing in a mobile hotspot is a must, it will save you stress so you can enjoy the beauty of Israel, while staying connected with everyone at home and in Israel.
